The Grate Underfoot Series

BW Museum

“There is nothing worse than a sharp image of a fuzzy concept.” ~Ansel Adams

Moonpie and I spent Sunday afternoon viewing the Ansel Adams exhibit at the Columbia Museum of Art. It was absolutely amazing. I was so inspired that I couldn’t wait to get outside and pull out my camera. Unfortunately, by the time we left it was late afternoon and overcast. And it was cold. And there wasn’t much interesting between the museum and our warm vehicle. Did I mention it was cold? I needed to focus on something that I could capture in the time it took me to walk one block. I looked down to think about it and there was my concept.

Once again proof that there's beauty to be found even in the oddest places :D

And, I think Ansel Adams would be honoured to have inspired such 'grate' shots ;D (or...if nothing else, a witty pun!)

ps. how were you ever able to pull yourself away from THAT exhibit??! I think I'd have to bring my tent to camp out, since I'm not sure I'd be able to leave ;D

They were closing or I would probably still be there.:)
