“It's going to keep snowing in DC until Al Gore cries "uncle".” ~~ Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC)
Today I ventured out to the walking paths to get some fresh air and brush the cobwebs off my camera. It went like this:
- Get out of the warm car.
- Think about how cold I am.
- Look at the cold ducks and ask them to say “Cheese”.
- Realize that down-filled clothing is highly overrated for both of us.
- Think about how cold I am.
- Head back to the warm car.
- Go to Barnes and Noble for a latte.
Right now I am waiting on snow to arrive in South Carolina. It was just two weeks ago when we had an ice storm move through. Snow is usually a very exciting event here in the deep South, but right now I am too tired of the cold to be excited. Last night I told Moonpie that we may have to retire to Florida. He said “No way.” Then he said we should go to Aruba instead. I love Moonpie.
Aruba it is.

Wonderful to see a new post... I've missed you! :D
This is a beautiful pic...I love how you were able to get such focus on the duck's eyes through all those branches. And fabulous reflections!!
Way to go, braving the cold! I bet that latte tasted awesome warming you up after having been chilled in the name of art :D
Tezzie, I have missed being able to stalk your sites! Hopefully life is now returning to normal insanity.
The weather forecasters were correct and we are currently snowed in. This afternoon the birds were hunkered down in the trees looking at each other like "We flew south for this???"
I am always so inspired by your photographs. One day....
Yes winter, please go away!
