Meet Yoohoo

“If you don't own a dog, at least one, there is not necessarily anything wrong with you, but there may be something wrong with your life.”

                                                                             Yoohoo ~ 7.30.12

We have a new addition to the MoonPie/Zippy home. We adopted him from the Pawmetto Lifeline shelter this past weekend. He is estimated to be about 6 years old. I don’t know why Yoohoo wound up in the municipal shelter, but I do know that he had been there his maximum time and was slated to be euthanized. Luckily he was moved to the Pawmetto Lifeline Shelter to give him a second chance at life. Three weeks later he is in his “forever home” and getting settled in his bed for a morning nap.

His name is Yoohoo, but for some reason we keep calling him Yahoo. He has had the name for only three weeks so he doesn’t really care what we call him, but we do need to stick to one or the other. Like all dogs, he just wants love and that’s an easy thing for his two smitten parents to give. After only one day he had created a special place into our family, our bed, and our hearts.

They recommended that he be placed on gluten-free dog food.

Is he perfect for me or what??

Yoohoo/Yahoo is here to celebrate another special day. It is our wedding anniversary!

Heart 2 b

There is not a single day that goes by without thinking what a lucky woman I am. Now I have two men to share my home, heart, and life with, but only one of them hikes his leg everytime he passes a tree. Who knew MoonPie was that agile?

He is a great dog! Our last 10 text messages to each other have been about whether or not he pooed. Aww the joys of furbabies.:)
